The summer road championship steps up a gear next week with the first of the "pay to enter" races.
The Holywood 5 miler is a popular event organised by our friends at Dumfries Running Club and this year's staging will be held on Tuesday the 12th of May. Entries are made on the night at Nunholm Sports Centre (Nunholm Road is off Edinburgh Road to the north of the town - DG1 1JW for satnav) from 6pm and are £3.50 of £5.50 for unaffiliated runners. see http://www.dumfriesrunningclub.org.uk/club-races/holywood-stroll for more details. The race starts at 7pm from the end of the road just over the bypass.
To be eligible for Championship points, ADAC runners should be in their club vests or t-shirts.
