Winter Festival

The 2016 ADAC Seniors' Winter Running Festival takes place over the weekend 29th to 31st January.

The link below contains the details and it is hoped that there will be a good turnout across the three events.

On the Friday the action starts at 7pm in Lockerbie with a 4 mile road route starting at the Ponsee depot and running along Dryfe Road, out past the Ice Rink and council depot to the roundabout then back to Ponsee and repeating this once more to make up the race distance.

On the Saturday we head to Langholm for 10.30am, meeting at the Kiln Green car park to tackle the Monument Toughie 5 miles course. This consists of an out-and-back climb of the Monument hill via the road route.

Finally on Sunday the weekend culminates at Browmoor Forest (10.30am) for a 2-lap run of the trail of approx 4.5miles.

The event is aimed at giving runners a tough training weekend in a friendly and light hearted environment and is JUST FOR FUN! with no entry fee.  However as we are all competitors at heart the 'winners' will be the fastest over the cumulative three runs, although runners can do 1, 2 or all 3 runs as they choose.

Hopefully teas, coffees and perhaps a scone or jelly baby will be available after the Saturday and Sunday runs.

Lets hope for good weather and a fun weekend of running.
