Seniors and some Juniors tackle Brownmoor forest
On Saturday the Senior Winter league continued after the Christmas break and the latest race took place around the challenging, hilly course at Brownmoor just outside Ecclefechan. The perfect ground conditions made for some very good performances and the race was again won by Ewan Fairgrieve despite suffering from a stitch during the race. It was lovely to see some Juniors turn up for some training alongside the seniors and they acquitted themselves very well indeed. The results of the race will be posted in the next day or two and the league table will be updated shortly after that. Well done folks!
Rain , Snow , Wind , Ice ?
All seasons in a week last week as storms followed snow which in turn was followed by icy conditions leading to cancelled training on Thursday for Juniors. It would have been fine if you brought a boat, but the track was flooded in places. Hopefully the weather will settle down a little this week and who knows it may even 80 degrees by Saturday – ok maybe not!
Survey
As many of you know we are conducting a survey of all members to help improve our club. If you haven’t had an invite to take part please message Joe or email the website info@annanandistrictathleticclub.co.uk So far we have had nearly 50 responses which is great but we’d like to hear from as many members as possible. There have been some good suggestions and positive feedback from the responses so far. Remember this is your club. The survey window will stay open for another week or so to “catch” as many members as possible and thanks to those who have already taken part. It doesn’t take long (5 mins) and your voice matters!
Dumfries Parkrun.

Juniors take on Edinburgh – some of our Juniors are off to Edinburgh for the Winter XC events. Some of the best in the country will be in attendance with the Inter district events and there are also other races including the National Indoor track and field at the Glasgow Emirates arena.
Seniors are back in action at the Black Esk reservoir on Saturday morning in the next Winter League event. The course is approx. 7.6m and it’s a tough one but with very beautiful scenery.
